Sounds on my iPad or iPhone don't work! How to fix it?
iPhones and iPads have a physical mute switch on the side of your device, a software switch (iPads only) in Control Center, and there is the volume of your device. Make sure to check all these things combined!
I can see Salma but she isn't 'found' when I tap her! What can I do?
As opposed to most other targets, to 'find' Salma requires you to solve the little puzzle hinted by her clue. Read the clue carefully and I'm sure you'll figure it out!
How do I zoom in or out?
On Apple TV, double tapping on the touch area without actually clicking the touch area will toggle between a few zoom levels. On phones or tablets, pinch with two fingers. On computers, scroll or use the [,] or [.] buttons.
I found a typo or missing translation!
Join the Hidden Folks Discord server and let the translators know about it in the #translation channel! Or email me. Contact details at the bottom.
I found a bug!
Make sure none of the answers above fix your issue. If you're playing Hidden Folks on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, send me an email with your device name, iOS version, and a description of what's happening. If you're playing on Windows, Mac, or Linux, this guide may describe how to fix your issue.
I want to zoom out more!
I hear you, and wish you could, but the problem here is technical. With some areas having over 20.000 objects, zooming out will slowly but surely freeze and possibly crash your device.
I want to zoom in more!
As Hidden Folks is made out of scanned drawings, things get ugly real fast when you zoom in more than the physical size of the drawing on paper. We tried our best to optimise the assets as much as we could, which gives you a little more zoom in, but the limit is what it is because of this.
Can I hear from you when there are new areas available?
Totally! Sign up here and I'll send you an email when something new comes out.
When are new areas coming out?
I'd be lying or incorrect if I would give you a date or timeslot. The pace at which we make new areas depends on so many things (complexity, time of the year, 'fun', playtests, translations, sickness & burnout, etc) that it's really hard to give you an estimate. Therefore, I generally tell people not to wait for them, but to sign up for the email and let it go - you'll receive an email when new areas come out.
Can I have a key or promocode?
The game has been out for more than a year now, and I have stopped giving out codes and keys.
Where can I find press material, screenshots, background info, etc?
On the press page.
I have a service or business offer regarding Hidden Folks! Who do I contact?
Sorry, we're not interested! Hidden Folks is doing great as-is, and we pick services and collaborations based on what we think fits the game well, as opposed to what we think fits the business well.
Can I get a refund?
Probably! You can request a refund at the store you bought the game - not from me, because technically you didn't buy the game from me. If you don't know how to ask for a refund, google it, because it varies largely per store and sometimes even per country.

As I (Adriaan) answer dozens of support emails all by myself, it might take me a little while to get back to you. Please bear with me!
